A remake made with this tool.
Every photo ends four times — top, bottom, left, right — and sometimes it ends too soon. The crop grazes a shoulder. The mountain wants more sky above it. The product shot has nowhere to put a headline. Expansion un-ends the photo: the AI studies your borders and keeps painting past them, the way the scene itself would have continued.
What you shot stays exactly as shot; the growth happens outside it. Sky extends with cloud logic intact, floors and walls carry their perspective lines onward, greenery spreads at the right density, and grade and grain hold steady across the join so the seam has nothing to confess. Choose any listed ratio and the new canvas fills to meet it.
Designers use it to mint negative space for type. Marketers stretch portrait shots into hero banners. Photographers give claustrophobic framings room to breathe. The clean division of labor: Expand adds territory and touches nothing you shot, while Reframe is licensed to recompose the whole picture — pick by how precious your original composition is.

Questions, answered
How much bigger can the canvas get in one pass?
The target ratio sets the growth — square to 21:9 more than doubles the width with generated scene. For extreme stretches, two moderate passes often beat one heroic one, since each round works from stronger context.
What does the AI do when a person touches the frame edge?
It has to invent the rest of them, and inventing anatomy is riskier than inventing sky. When the cut-off limb matters, expand generously and inspect that region hard — or reframe instead so the person can be recomposed inward.
Will the added area match my photo's film grain or noise?
Grain, color grade, and focus falloff continue into the new territory deliberately — a cleaner-than-original border region is a telltale seam, so the growth inherits your photo's imperfections on purpose.
Is this how I add copy space for a headline?
Exactly — expand toward the side the layout needs, and the generated region arrives as calm, continuous scene that type sits on beautifully. Ask for the wide ratios when the destination is a banner.
