Straight out of the studio — slide to compare.
The best light of the day lasts about as long as a coffee, and it rarely coincides with when you, the location, and the camera are all in the same place. Photographers call the schedule tyranny; this tool calls it negotiable. Pick the hour the shot deserved and the scene gets moved there.
Moving an hour is more than tinting one. The sun's angle changes, so every shadow swings and stretches; color temperature shifts across the whole frame; the sky rebuilds for the new time; and when you cross into night, windows warm up and streetlamps take over as the light source. The recomputation is scene-wide and self-consistent — which is the entire difference between golden hour and an orange wash.
Give a listing exterior the dusk treatment that sells houses. Pull a harsh noon portrait back to late afternoon. Shoot a location once and deliver it at four different hours. The adjacent tools split the atmosphere with it: Sky Replacement changes only the ceiling, Weather changes what the air is doing, and this one owns the clock.

Questions, answered
What does the twilight option do that sunset does not?
Twilight is after the sun is gone: a soft ambient glow, deep blue overhead, artificial lights starting to matter. Sunset is the show; twilight is the mood right after it — quieter and moodier, and the classic hour for real-estate exteriors.
Do shadows actually move, or just fade?
They move — direction, length, and softness all follow the new sun position. A midday photo pushed to late afternoon grows the long reaching shadows of a low sun, which is most of what makes the hour believable.
Which hour is safest for portraits of people?
The two golden hours — the low warm sun flatters skin the way ring lights wish they could. Overcast Day is the sleeper pick when you want soft, even light without a warm color story.
Can I take a night photo back to daytime?
Night-to-day is the steepest climb, since darkness recorded little for the model to relight, but it produces a usable creative result. Day-to-night and hour-to-adjacent-hour moves are where fidelity is highest.
